I would say I’m pretty into socks. And I would also say I’m pretty into coloring contests. So I was so extra excited when I saw that Portland’s very own crazy sock manufacturer and store, Sock it to Me, was having a Design a Sock Contest!!

I won an Easter bunny coloring contest when I was 8 so I figure I stand a good chance at winning… even 2nd place. And the stakes are mighty high: first place is $1000 plus 15 PAIRS OF SOCKS!!, 2nd place is $500 plus 10 PAIRS OF SOCKS!!, and finally, the measly third place wins $250 plus 5 pairs of socks.

I’m obviously really into type so I decided to make my designs mostly based out of that. (Plus the fact that I suck at drawing in Illustrator…) Let’s cross our fingers!!!
